Additional Information

Arch Acres began in 1999 with 5 longhorns and grew to a herd with over 70 registered longhorns.  Because of retirement we have downsized to 16 outstanding cows, two heifers, 14 calves and one herd sire.

Throughout our 20 plus years, we have had several different herd sires, but feel our current bull is our best! SHR Wow's Ace has been a proven producer with genetics, size, color, horn and dispostition.  Other bloodlines that we have include Roundup , JP Rio Grande, Delta Lucky Ace, Fox Chex, Fifty-Fifty, and Commander EOTto name a few. We are proud of our program  offering new breeders quality calves!

Arch Acres goal is to promote the breed of Texas longhorns.  We appreciate the variety of colors and horn shapes, the docile temperment, the calving ease, and the anticipation  with each calf born.

We are lifetime members of both the TLBAA (Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America) and ITLA (International Texas Longhorn Association). We are founding members of the MTLA (Midwest Texas Longhorn Association) which is an affiliate of ITLA based in Indiana.  MTLA holds a qualifying  show for the ITLA Convention and  Show.

We hope you enjoy looking at our pictures and will plan a visit to see the longhorns in person. Stop by and take some pictures and pick out some to start your herd!

If you have interest in our longhorns, please ask!

Upon arriving you will see a log home and barns with green metal roofs.  There is a longhorn sign at the lane entrance at the bottom of the wooded hill. During warm weather the cows will be out front in the pastures. Winter time they will be in the back lot with hay and shelters.

See you soon!
